Personal Excess Liability Insurance

Personal Excess Liability Insurance - Equisure, Inc.
Members of the {Organization name} have the option to purchase $1,000,000 Personal Excess Liability insurance from Equisure, Inc. This coverage can be purchased for an individual or family, which is defined as you, your resident spouse and your children less than 18 years of age. You, or your family, will be covered if you become legally liable for accidental bodily injury to any person or accidental damage to property arising out of the use and/or ownership of a horse or horse-drawn vehicle. The following are some examples of Personal Excess Liability instances.
  • Your horse gets out of the pasture and is struck by a car. The driver and passenger are injured and there is damage to the car.
  • Your horse bites/kicks someone and there is serious injury to that person.
If you have homeowner or other insurance that covers your equine exposure this insurance is in excess. If you are not covered under another policy, Personal Excess Liability insurance becomes primary. Equine business operations or activities, & horse mortality are NOT covered under this insurance. For more information on Personal Excess Liability insurance visit the ARG frequently asked questions page.
